GLEANING EVENTS

I fully understand and acknowledge that:

I do not hold Healthy Harvest Food Bank, its board members, employees or volunteers liable for any injury, accident or death while participating in a gleaning or food recovery event. Neither will I hold the person(s) who owns and/or operates the farm from which we glean or area in which we recover food, liable for accidents, injury or death.

In the unlikely case of accident or injury during gleaning, I hereby give permission for medical treatment deemed necessary and reasonable by a doctor.

I will enter only those areas designated for use by volunteers and use care to avoid damaging premises.

The gleaning events in which I voluntarily choose to participate will involve entering onto privately owned or publicly owned real property (the “Premises”) to glean fruit and/or vegetables (the “Gleaning”). The Gleaning may involve the use of certain equipment, including, without limitation, sharp gleaning tools.

Media Release

I do hereby give Healthy Harvest Food Bank and parties designated by HHFB including staff, volunteers, contractors, and program beneficiaries, the permission and irrevocable right to use my name, farm name, testimonials, photographs and video recordings for reproduction in any medium for purposes of editorial, trade, advertising, display or exhibition use. I/we have read this release and fully understand its contents.

I hereby waive any right that I/we may have to inspect and approve the finished product or copy that may be used in connection with an image or video that was taken of me or the use to which it might be applied.

I further irrevocably release HHFB and their representatives and assigns from any claim or remuneration associated with any form of damage, foreseen or unforeseen, associated with the commercial or artistic use of these images unless it can be proven that said reproduction was maliciously caused, produced, and published for the sole purpose of subjecting me to conspicuous ridicule, scandal, reproach, scorn and indignity.
